Portsmouth City of Sanctuary launched our ‘Sanctuary Refugee Hub’ on Monday 19th October 2021. The Hub is a multi agency collaboration with Citizens Advice Portsmouth, The Moving on Project, Vista, Portsmouth City Council Community Connectors, Aspex Gallery and Baby Basics. We provide casework support, orientation support and signposting to key agencies in the city for refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants. Immigration Advice is a regulated service and is provided by Citizens Advice Portsmouth who have OISC accreditation. We also offer English lessons within the Hub, as well as arts and crafts
The Hub is located at St Luke’s Church and runs every Monday morning. If you are an organisation working with migrants and need assistance please do not hesitate to email us at – [email protected]
Portsmouth City of Sanctuary follow Government COVID guidelines. All visitors and clients attending the HUB must wear masks.
ENGLISH CLASS
We currently deliver English lessons in 3 city locations. Within our refugee hub, English is the most popular activity. Our dedicated teachers run two classes, a beginners and advanced class which run at the same time. English lessons are free and all migrants are welcome.
