Refugee and Asylum Seeker Caseworker (PT)


Portsmouth City of Sanctuary (PCoS) is an award-winning grassroots humanitarian charity supporting asylum seekers, refugees and displaced people in Portsmouth and the surrounding areas.

We are recruiting a part-time Refugee and Asylum Seeker Caseworker to join our busy service. This role supports the charity’s delivery of the Portsmouth Migrant & Refugee Support (PMRS) project, made possible with thanks to the National Lottery. The project provides our essential service delivery to 1500+ refugees, asylum seekers, displaced people and dependents, annually. We receive referrals from across the Portsmouth area and help support sanctuary seekers within our Refugee Hub and other community locations.

Salary£10,686.00
Hours of work15 hours per week 
BenefitsAnnual leave of 28 days per annum inclusive of bank holidays (pro rata).
ContractFixed term 12-month contract months (subject to passing a six-month probationary period).
LocationThis role is primarily office and community based due to the nature of client-facing casework. The postholder will be expected to work from the PCoS Refugee Hub, office and attend appointments, outreach locations, and partner services (PO1 and PO5).
