Mental Health Support Worker (Part time)

Portsmouth City of Sanctuary (PCoS) is an award-winning grassroots humanitarian charity supporting asylum seekers, refugees and displaced people in Portsmouth and the surrounding areas.

PCoS provides our essential service delivery to 1500+ refugees, asylum seekers, displaced people and dependents, annually. We receive referrals from across the Portsmouth area and help support sanctuary seekers within our Refugee Hub and other community locations.

We are recruiting a part-time Mental Health Support Worker to join our busy service. This role supports the charity’s delivery of the supporting clients suffering mental health trauma, made possible by South East Strategic Partnership for Migration (SESPM).

We are seeking someone who can project manage the PCoS Asylum Therapeutic Support (PATS) project. The post holder will make referrals to Mental Health Clinical Pathways and confidently liaise with services and stakeholders providing rehabilitation activities. The post holder will use a PCoS Mental Health Toolkit and process and have responsibility for keeping to budget, in addition to tracking and reporting project outcomes to the funder on a regular basis.

Salary£7,766.00 per annum
Hours of work10.5 hours per week 
BenefitsAnnual leave of 28 days per annum inclusive of bank holidays (pro rata).
ContractFixed term 12-month contract months (subject to passing a six-month probationary period).
LocationThis role is primarily office and community based due to the nature of client-facing casework. The postholder will be expected to work from the PCoS Refugee Hub (Monday 10am– 1pm) and Host office (Tuesday am) with remaining hours worked flexibly. The post holder may need to attend appointments, outreach locations, and partner services (PO1 and PO5).
