Shining a Light on the Unseen

We are incredibly proud to share that our powerful short film Unseen was named a finalist at the UK Smiley Charity Film Awards – a moment of true recognition for a story that needed to be told.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote and support this project. Your belief in the message behind Unseen means the world to us.

Unseen brings to light the hidden experiences of women who are living with no recourse to public funds (NRPF) or who are subject to immigration control—circumstances that can leave them vulnerable to sexual exploitation, abuse, and isolation. Inspired by a true story, this film offers a rare and honest glimpse into the harsh realities faced by women whose voices are too often silenced. This was not just a film; it was a labour of compassion.

We are deeply grateful to Peter Langdown, who captured the story with such sensitivity and skill behind the camera, and to Katie Bennet, whose direction brought the narrative to life in a way that is both moving and unforgettable. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire cast and crew, who generously donated their time and talents to make this project a reality – pro bono.

Thanks to them – and to all of you who voted – the voices of women living in the shadows are being heard.

We invite you to watch Unseen and share it with others. It’s not an easy story, but it is a necessary one.
